Title

A Review on Comparison of Conventional and Vibration Assisted Fluidized Bed Dryer for Drying High Moisture Sub Bituminous Coal Used in Thermal Power Plants

Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the drying of high moisture, low calorific value coal using vibration-assisted fluidized bed dryer technology. It is important to reduce the moisture content before combustion because direct use of this pulverized coal leads to high operation and maintenance costs and low heating values, which decrease the overall thermal efficiency of the thermal power plant.
