In the current inquiry, the phytoplankton diversity of Gundaram Cheruvu in Nizamabad, Dist. The algal flora of Gundaram Cheruvu is described in the current study about one year. Aquaculture and agriculture both utilize lake water. The investigation to identify the algae was done from January 2020 to December 2020. The obtained water samples were stored in 4% formalin and examined for identification under a binocular microscope. Four algal groups were recognized in this investigation. Cyanophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Euglenophyceae, and Chlorophyceae. Some of the physico-chemical parameters are assessed in one year of study period they are pH, Colour, Turbidity, Total Dissolved Solids, Total alkalinity, Total Hardness, Calcium, Chlorides, Organic Matter, Nitrates, Magnesium, Sulphates, Dissolved Oxygen, TSS, BOD COD, Carbonates, Bicarbonates, Phosphates and Silicates.
