Title

Tracing out the Discomfort & Dissymmetry in The Lower Extremity Considering the Aspect of Foot Pressure

Abstract

Since more than a decade, we have witnessed a large number of varied diseases and chronic health conditions that are making their prominent presence among mankind. Achilles’s tendonitis, arthritis in the ankle or ankles, bunions, hammertoes, plantar pressure diseases are some of most commonly observed disease in lower limbs. Apart from these, some clinical conditions like irregular muscle toning, muscle stressing, fatigue, etc takes place in individuals of almost all kinds of ages but specifically in the lower extremities. In this work, our entire lower body, including our hips, upper thighs, knees, lower limbs, and ankles, is the area of our concern. We have chosen to focus on various foot pressure points in our body. We have designed a simple kit to trace out the various positions and intensity of these foot pressure points by the placement of his or her feet on various sensors insole as normal that is without any added pressure by the person. Comparison of the different output from different sensors with predetermined standard data collecting from those who have normal Body Mass Index range will give us an insight about the symptoms for the disease condition that is taking place

Key Words

lower limb pathology, lower-limb dissymmetry, plantar pressure, sensor insole, body mass index
