Introduction- Oral health is an important factor of human body. During pregnancy various physiological and harmonal changes occurs that lead to dental diseases. These harmonal imbalances and changes in eating habits increases risk of bleeding gums and periodontal problems. Aim – This study aims to educate pregnant women towards oral health problems and implement the needed preventive measures. Materials and Methods- A cross sectional study was conducted in pregnant women in Latur District for assessment of oral health in pregnancy. A questionnaire was formulated related to their knowledge ,attitude and practises regarding oral health. Random responses were collected and data analysed by using descriptive statistics. Results – This study reported that among pregnant women there is moderate level of awareness and there is need for better oral health care, knowledge and awareness Conclusion- The findings suggests that improvement must be implemented ,and health care professionals should actively work in community for increasing knowledge to oral health in pregnant women .
