Foliicolous fungus should be thoroughly investigated as an essential part of the ecosystem since they play a critical role in the manifestation and control of plant diseases. The most prevalent disease affecting shade and decorative trees is leaf spots, which harm the tree and lower its value. The foliicolous fungus, which causes irregularly shaped, angular, round-to-oval, or sporadic patches on leaves, can affect any shade tree. A wide variety of foliicolous fungi that have not been fully studied can be found in the Amaravati region of Maharashtra state. Out the 46 affected leaf samples collected, 16 were found to be infected by a total of six Alternaria species. Furthermore, the fungal cultures were being accessed and added to collections of cultures. Both the long-term study and the documentation of foliicolous fungus will benefit from the current investigation.
