Title

Generation Z’s Preference Towards Aggressive and Discrete Marketing

Abstract

This paper examines the effectiveness of aggressive and discreet marketing strategies in reaching and engaging with Generation Z, the demographic cohort born between 1997 and 2012. The study draws on a literature review of previous research on these marketing approaches. Results suggest that while aggressive marketing tactics such as pop-up ads and high-pressure sales tactics can be effective in generating short-term sales, they are generally not well received by Gen Z consumers. In contrast, discreet marketing tactics such as influencer marketing and user-generated content are more likely to engage with Gen Z and build long-term relationships with them. The study also highlights the importance of authenticity and transparency in marketing to Gen Z, who value brands that align with their values and are socially responsible. Overall, the study suggests that businesses targeting Gen Z should prioritize marketing strategies and focus on building genuine connections with this demographic with both aggressive and discrete marketing strategies.
