Critical infrastructures, such as those in the energy, banking, and transportation sectors, are crucial to the health of the domestic and global economy, as well as to personal safety and quality of life. These infrastructures' seamless, dependable, and continuous operation depends on a range of intricately intertwined information infrastructures. Critical Information Infrastructures Protection, or CIIP, is a field that encounters challenges. There are many difficulties, including controlling peer security interactions, ensuring the robustness and resilience of the entire system, and implementing warning and alert systems, among others. Because to its intelligent distributed control capabilities and resilience to harsh environments, Wireless Sensor Networks can be employed as a crucial component in this CIIP tapestry. In this essay, we provide evidence for the suitability of wireless sensor network technologies.
