Title

Design and Fabrication of Solar Water Distiller

Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop a solar water distiller which can clean water from almost any source, portable, reasonably priced. A reliable estimate was produced based on the outcomes of the project calculations to Prototype the distiller and trough concentration system's most efficient geometry, one that will enhance evaporation/condensation and re-capture waste heat to reduce thermal losses. A system with a parabolic solar trough and a specially made distillation unit was created to do this. Using a parabolic trough, the sun's entering solar energy is directed and concentrated into a receiver pipe, heating the incoming dirty water before being sprayed into our customary system. constructed distillation apparatus, where it evaporates and then condenses back into pure drinking water.
