Title

Gender representation and discrimination in advertisement

Abstract

The ensuing study focuses on gender representation in food and drink announcements in India in 2021- 2022. The emphasis is on descriptions offered for the two double genders. As announcements shape and reflect our values and culture, it's important that their makers are, at the veritably least, apprehensive of the representations of gender they choose for their advertisements, especially if they wish to come more inclusive, reach and appeal to new parts. The literature review focuses on advertising and gender from 1970 onwards. In former studies, women were portrayed as unresistant housekeepers while men were seen as dominant and in charge. This exploration concentrated on questions about gender representations at the time of the exploration and whether women are portrayed as the weaker coitus, in food and drink advertisements.
