Title

MOTORED KAFO LEG FOR HANDICAPS

Abstract

The objective of project is to design a robotic leg for physically challenged people. This project acts as human leg with the help of hinged joints and electric motor. Robots have become important over a wide range of applications like manufacturing, surgery, or handling of hazardous materials. However, all the robots employ wheels for manipulation the robotic leg involves the human leg like operation. The Tensile test and fatigue machines were used to evaluate the mechanical qualities of the majority of the materials used in KAFOs. To test the mechanical performance of a sample product of knee-ankle- foot orthosis (KAFO) powered by artificial DC motor during human walking. and used it effectively in studies on human motor adaptation, locomotion energetics, and gait rehabilitation were used to improve balance, functional mobility, and quality of life in individuals with lower-extremity impairments
