The paper explores how cognitive dissonance shapes the themes of self-worth and feminism in the novel, highlighting the importance of maintaining one's sense of self-worth, challenging societal expectations, and pursuing one's own desires. Through Jane's experiences, the novel demonstrates the complexities of human nature and the role of cognitive dissonance in shaping beliefs and values.
