In the financial sector, a "merchant bank" is a term for a bank that offers a broad variety of services to its customers. Merchant banking services not only provide financial aid, but also steer customers in the right route in compliance with SEBI rules and guidelines. Merchant banking facilitates the purchase of stock as an alternative to loans. Merchant banking encompasses a wide range of activities, including portfolio management, customer service, counselling, and more. Merchant banks provide micro, small, and medium-sized investors a variety of services for a fee or for free, including loan syndication, underwriting, project promotion, and consultation. A merchant bank has a considerably longer time horizon than an investor. This study is helpful since it investigates the concept of merchant banking.
