Title

Face Mask Detection using ML Algorithms

Abstract

A new corona virus strain is currently affecting the public, showing that the COVID-19 problem is still ongoing. Omicron and delta Cron strains continue to be a threat to society. Keeping ourselves protected is absolutely vital. Governments around the world advise taking a few precautions, such as keeping a distance of one metre, using hand sanitizer, and always donning a mask, to prevent the spread of COVID. The new COVID variation was first identified as B.1.1.529 and then renamed omicron. On November 28, 2021, the WHO also announced a hybrid variant of delta and omicron. Corona virus can continue to afflict individuals for a few more years given the current situation because it is affecting a big population and showing no signs of stopping. People created face detection software with the purpose of determining whether or not a person is wearing a mask. This project is built on the same item but utilising two distinct technologies, MobileNetV2 and VGG16, in order to allow for detailed comparison. By contrasting the two, it is possible to determine which performs better, allowing consumers to make a decision based on their own needs. This research paper is based on Machine learning algorithm and Deep Learning using different python libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow with Keras, MobileNetV2 and VGG16. In this project the main aim this to detect and then identify that person is wearing a mask or not then comparing both technologies and analyzes the result.
