Title

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ISSUES IN MODERN BANKING SYSTEMS

Abstract

The concept known as "corporate social responsibility," or CSR for short, refers to the idea that businesses, in addition to the commitments they have made to their shareholders or investors, also have a responsibility to society. CSR was developed in the 1990s. This obligation goes beyond the commitments that businesses have made to themselves in the past. This perspective derives from the idea that corporations are obligated to conduct themselves in a manner that contributes to the advancement of societal norms and values as a whole. It is expected of businesses that, in addition to producing a profit, they will have some degree of responsibility to the many different stakeholders in their sphere of influence. This expectation is based on the fact that organisations have a sphere of influence that extends beyond their immediate sphere of influence. This presumption is founded on the notion that companies are expected to have a certain level of influence on the communities in which they operate. Workers of the firm, consumers, communities, and the environment are all examples of the several groups that fall under the umbrella term "stakeholders." The term "corporate social responsibility" (CSR) refers to the efforts done by firms to lessen the detrimental effect they have on the environment, the community, the economy, and their workers. These efforts may take the form of financial donations, volunteer work, or other forms of assistance. Another meaning of the abbreviation CSR is "corporate social responsibility." These activities include, but are not limited to, the enhancement of working conditions, the promotion of fair trade, the decrease of the amount of pollutants discharged into the atmosphere, and the rising of the levels of employee satisfaction.
