Most contemporary commercial navigation programmes rely on GPS-based technologies. However, compared to an outdoor setting, its performance when utilised for indoor navigation is worse. Installing additional hardware necessitates a lot of the research and development work done on indoor navigation technology, which often has a high setup cost. The objective of this project is to demonstrate a user-friendly and cost-effective indoor navigation system. The recommended solution combines AR technology with the in-built sensors that are currently available in the majority of mobile devices to establish the user's location and provide users with an immersive navigating experience. This project involved developing and testing an indoor navigation app for smartphones. The innovation demonstrates how to use ARCore to display augmented reality assistance utilising the computed route and Indoor Atlas, which enables indoor positioning through technology fusion to establish the user's location and compute the path to their goal.
