The automobile industry is in the midst of a serious crisis as a result of the global economic slump and government policies in India. Automobile manufacturers have consistently upgraded their machinery and methods in the face of economic downturns. Enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM), customer relationship management (CRM), and transportation management systems (TMS) are just a few examples of the software resources used by the automotive industry. Other resources include barcodes, RFIDs, GPS, interfaces like electronic data interchange (EDI) and the internet, and procedural tools like logistics (3PL/4PL LSPs), facility management (FM), and valet services. Supply chain innovations in fields such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), robots, and blockchain are progressing at a fast rate because of the obvious need to reduce costs in order to meet rising future demand. Several scholarly studies have been conducted on this question. This research is an attempt to measure the impact of information and communication technology on conventional methods of automotive supply chain management. It also provides insight into the future of ICTs in the automotive supply chain, which is a nice bonus. The Automotive Industry, Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, and Supply Relationship Management.
