A high proportion of socially and economically poor sections of society are generated in the informal economic activities. Informal employment is generally a large source of employment for women in developing countries. Despite high level of economic growth during the past two decades, the informal economy in India still accounts for more than 80% of non-agricultural employment. The present paper aims to analyse the Socio-econmic conditions of Women venders. The study had chosen three urban market centres nearly namely MVP colony, NAD kotha road and Akkayyapalemand from each sample area 50 women vendors have been selected. The total sample woman vendors consist of 150. It is observed that 49 per cent of the women vendors are in the age group of 41-50, more than 77 per cent of them belongs to backward classes, about 46 per cent of women vendors were literates and the highest proportion of women vendors i.e.,45.3 per cent had above 4 years of experience in the study area.
