Title

AlgoWise- Algorithm Visualizer

Abstract

Computers and programming both depend on algorithms. It offers consistency in completing related tasks with a predictable and gratifying result. Sorting algorithms are thought of as the entry point into the field of programming algorithms. They are accustomed to sorting data sets with similar properties, as is clear from their definition. There are numerous kinds of sorting algorithms, each with a unique implementation and approach. They frequently require more effort to comprehend and internalize. One possible contributing reason is a lack of visualization of the process and actions each person takes to complete the sorting task. Since common sorting algorithms such as Bubble sort, Insertion sort, Selection sort, Merge, Quick sort, and Heap sort are often used, the aim of this project was to create a web application that would act as a visualization tool for them. React and other cutting-edge technologies like Vite, Node Js, and Zustand were used to develop the finished web application. The user interface (UI) of the application can display the status of each element in the array or represent the sorting operation using various color schemes. The amount of data (an array of random numbers), display speed, and sorting technique can all be customized. Along with the line that is being shown in the UI, the code for the current sorting step is also highlighted. The web app displays the values of the algorithm's variables as well as how many swaps and comparisons have been performed up to this point throughout the visualization process.
