Title

Study of corrosion inhibition effect of Allamanda Blancheti for mild steel in 1N of H2SO4 medium

Abstract

The study of inhibition efficiency of Allamanda Blanchetti leaves extract in 1N H2SO4 of mild steel. In this study corrosion inhibition efficiency is increased with increasing concentration of the inhibitor. The maximum efficiency of 78% was obtained by using this leaves extract. It was supported by Potentiodynamic polarization studies. In Electrochemical studies Tafel plots (Icorr) values decreased with increasing concentration of inhibitor and in Nyquist plots double layer capacitance(Cdl) values decreased with increase in inhibitor concentration.The charge transfer resisitance(Rct) values increased with increasing concentration of the inhibitor. The mild steel roughness was reduced after addition of inhibitor it was confirmed by AFM image
