Management of the unmanned parking can be assured for the ever-increasing vehicles in an organization and societies using modern Artificial Intelligence and Automation, where Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system can be employed. In this paper we report the develop of an automated ANPR based entry and parking system that allows entry to the recognised member’s vehicle only. Input is taken with the capture of the vehicle’s image which is processed using ANPR technology that uses optical character recognition (OCR) algorithms to identify and extract vehicle license plate numbers from images. Integrating ANPR with a boom barrier control system to automatically open the barrier for authorized vehicles and deny access to unauthorized ones. The developed system was able to accurately identify and track vehicles, improve the security of the parking facility, and automate the process of access for parking.
