Schizophrenia is a major chronic brain disorder that impacts 1% of the world’s population. Its main causes are hallucinations, delusions, disorganized speech, intellectual difficulties and loss of motivation. However, by the help of suitable treatment, various symptoms of schizophrenia can be improved and the probability of a recurrence can be diminished. It affects same numbers of men and women; however onset is frequently later in women than in men. Schizophrenia can be positive and negative symptoms. Positive symptoms like hallucinations, voices that communicate about patient and delusions. Negative symtoms like lack of sense and lack of social withdrawal. Both positive and negative symptoms impact on patient families. Therefore, it is necessary for physician that they provide proper guidance to person those suffer from schizophrenia. If patient take proper medication then symptoms of disease can be control. Mostly antipsychotics are use for schizophrenia treatment. There is a 10% life time chance of suicide in patients those suffer from schizophrenia.
