Electrical hazards such as fire and accidents can lead to significant loss of life and property if appropriate safety rules and regulations are not in place. This research paper aims to investigate the safety rules and regulations for the precautions of electrical hazards and to present a case study of a fatal electric shock in Nagpur. The study focuses on the regulations laid down by the Centre Electricity Authority (CEA) in 2010, which aim to ensure the safety of individuals and property against electrical hazards. The paper concludes that while regulations exist, they must be followed stringently, and regular inspections and training of personnel can significantly improve electrical safety.
