Title

ASSESSING THE EFFECT AND RELATIONSHIP OF AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP ON EMPLOYEES’ JOB SATISFACTION IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of authentic leadership on employees’ job satisfaction in the construction industry. The study was employed qualitative and quantitative approaches so as to triangulate the information about authentic leadership and jab satisfaction. The study was particularly focused on infrastructure and Building constructions working in Salale University. 99 professional, leaders and some non-professional staff were identified as a sample of the study and data were collected from them. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. Results of the correlation analysis revealed that authentic leadership has a significant effect and positive correlation with employee job satisfaction. It is concluded that there is a desire need to focus on authentic leadership in the construction industries.
