Safety at all job sites does not just occur. A safe operation is one which is organized, clean and efficient. If all the employees view accidents in the same way as we consider all other aspects of the company operations, we will be in excellent position not only to control accidents but also to improve the total performance of the company. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that all aspects of our safety management be strictly enforced and followed. Although it is difficult to obtain accurate statistics in an industry in which many accidents go undetected and unreported, in many countries known fatal accidents, and those involving loss of working time, frequently exceed those in any other manufacturing industry. Hence, a study is conducted to identify the issues and barriers in the implementation of safety measures.
