Title

A STUDY OF AWARENESS OF E-BANKING SERVICES IN INDIA

Abstract

When banking services are provided to customers via the internet, the term "e-banking" is used to describe the practise. Online banking, sometimes known as "e-Banking," is an alternative to visiting a physical bank location to handle financial matters. Electronic banking is also known by many other names, including computer banking, Internet banking, virtual banking, online banking, home banking, remote electronic banking, and banking by phone. The most prevalent variants are internet banking, pc banking, and online banking. Keep in mind, though, that various forms of electronic banking go by several other names. Banking applications have switched to run on mobile devices, such as internet-enabled smartphones and personal digital assistants, giving rise to a new type of electronic banking: mobile banking. The widespread use of mobile banking was still a distant possibility in 1999 and 2000. The internet is transforming the financial services industry in a number of ways, including the rise of web-based financial services and the introduction of new enterprises offering tailored solutions. This is done to find new ways to increase customer retention and satisfaction with these offerings. Due to customers' evolving and growing preference for speed and convenience, the traditional affinity between customers and branch offices is eroding as new technology disinter mediates traditional channels. The value proposition relies on the bank owning or earning the customer interface and bringing the customer a complete solution which satisfies the customer's needs. Smart cards are a cutting-edge piece of technology that can help organisations diversify their revenue sources by providing a stable basis for the creation of new products and services. The financial sector is well-positioned to join the growing mobile commerce market. Banks have long histories of meeting the financial needs of enterprises and organisations, and they keep in close contact with their corporate and business clientele. All sizes of businesses can take advantage of the bank's acquiring services for credit card transactions. Customers typically have deep links to their banks and are reluctant to switch.
