Title

A Modernize Method to Protect the Induction Motor using Arduino Uno

Abstract

Today, a necessary aim for the modern day industries is to decrease the losses in production and increase the productivity to remain economically competitive. To fulfil this requirement, an efficient system for management of fault and a quick action against it is important. In order to prevent the failures in future work and unfavourable conditions and to make the uninterrupted industrial processes, there is a key role of the fault detection and the fault diagnosis system. For which there should an effective indicator which will identify the fault status of a particular process and afterwards will take an appropriate action to prevent the future failures and unfavourable accidents. In any electrical system, mostly in the industries overloading is one of the major faults that could occur. Any fault can prove to be a danger to the electrical installations and they often occur in industrial premises and hence, a adequate protection scheme has to be provided. Induction motors are the most commonly used machines in any industry. The first step is to identify the main reason behind the burning out of three phase Induction Motor. There might be various causes but one of the most common cause that found to be was due to the overloading. In order to overcome this problem this paper conveys the idea on how to protect an induction motor using Arduino Uno Atmega 328p.
