Abstract
This study examines the problems of Arecanut growers in Malenadu region of Karnataka state in India. There are problems of Yellow leaf diseases, Leaf dot diseases, Root borer, High cost labour, Uncertain market price for Arecanut products and un wanted forest laws from the government. This study was carried out in four taluks of Malenadu such as Sringeri, Koppa and Narasimharajapura of Chickamagalore district where Yellow leaf diseases was very high and Thirthahalli taluk from Shivamoga district in Karnataka. For the present study data were collected from 100 Arecanut growers in the study area.
