With the increasing demand for energy worldwide and the consequent concerns about the environmental impact of energy production, there is a need to optimize energy usage through smart management of electrical appliances at each organization level as well as at each unit of the organization. This paper presents the design and implementation of the Optimization Of Energy Usage Through Smart Management Of Energy Consuming Resources/Appliances. Though it is primary aim is to reduce energy consumption and optimize energy utilization in classrooms using smart system to detect humans, the systems also aims in future to use the 'smart' aspect to report headcount per class per class room, report presence/absence of detected humans, analyze popularity aspect (presence/absence in each class) and the reasons behind the same etc.
