Abstract—2k (Over mould) Injection moulding is an important process technique at the present state of technology. In this technology we use two different materials with different properties. 2K injection moulding process eliminates many of the manufacturing process. In this 2k moulding process we combines properties of both materials like, if we use PC ( Polycarbonate ) as base material and TPE (Thermoplastic elastomers) as over mould, then due to PC ( Polycarbonate ) we achieves strength in finish product and due to TPE (Thermoplastic elastomers) we achieves aesthetic look and rubber touch feeling to finish product. This paper presents an industrial study of 2K (Over moulding) covering all important issues like Product Design, Mould Design, Mould flow check, Material selection for mould manufacturing, Mould manufacturing, defects in moulding and how to troubleshoot mould. This Paper also includes 2K moulding machines types
