Anatomical Elaboration of Manya Vasti in Cervical Spondylosis - A Review

Abstract
Ayurveda, the natural treatment science of Indian civilization offers many holistic approaches for health management. Ayurveda has its own principles for prevention and management of almost all diseases including manyastambha. The signs and symptoms of manyastambha can be correlated with Cervical Spondylosis. The disease not only affects health of an individual but also put burden on quality of life and hampers day to day activities significantly. The disease is considered as a Vata vyadhi. Ayurveda described many approaches for the management of manyastambha including manya vasti. In this article, clinical anatomy of cervical spondylosis is reviewed along with the local curative effects of manya vasti.
