In the fields of computer vision and biometrics, face sketch creation and recognition are crucial topics. Face sketches are hand-drawn or digitally created illustrations that depict facial characteristics only, leaving out other elements like skin tone and texture. They frequently aid in the identification of suspects or missing people in forensic investigations and law enforcement. Researchers have recently created algorithms that can automatically create face sketches from images and recognize people from sketches. These methods use computer vision algorithms and deep learning models to precisely capture facial traits and compare them to a database of recognized faces. The most recent techniques for creating and identifying face sketches are discussed in this study, along with applications, difficulties, and potential future possibilities.
