Title

Experimental and Numerical Study of Thermal Management of Air cooled Battery System

Abstract

This project focuses on optimizing the thermal management system for battery packs in electric vehicles, specifically through air-cooling solutions. The objective is to determine the appropriate parameters, such as airflow rate and cell spacing, through CFD simulations that accurately model the system's performance. These simulations will provide insight into the maximum temperature and temperature distribution within the battery module, allowing for the identification of the optimal configuration. Experimental results will be used to validate the simulation results, and any discrepancies can be addressed to further improve the system. This research is crucial to overcome the significant challenge of energy storage in electric mobility by improving battery pack efficiency, lifespan, and overall performance
