Image enhancement is a challenging task due to the scattering and attenuation. The underwater picture have low quality and suffers from low brightness. Especially underwater image processing is very difficult task because it has its own obstacles like blurred image, low quality, poor contrast, noise etc. So, the researchers and developers are developing image for enhancement in order to accomplish the underwater images and to get good quality of images. In this paper, a novel Gaussian algorithm for image enhancement is developed which is considered as the proposed work. The developed Gaussian filter algorithm is used to reduce the noise and to get good contrast of the images. So, the designing scheme in Gaussian algorithm is to gain good image quality and to proceed more intensity of underwater images. Therefore, the underwater images are processed and good performance metrics are obtained.
