Title

EXPERIMENTAL REVIEW OF REPLACEMENENT OF CEMENT WITH BAGGASSE ASH

Abstract

Abstract: Due to industrialization, consumption of construction materials is increased which causes the decrease of natural resources day by day. It creates environmental imbalance, so it needs to find alternative materials such as industrial waste or agricultural waste which can be replaced with construction materials completely or partially. Due to industrialization construction are increasing day by day that Is demand of construction has been increased. Construction requires mainly concrete which is made up by mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water., Cement is basic material in concrete which is also responsible for some environmental problem. Cement production caused almost5% - 8% of global CO2 emission. To reduce this emission, we have to search for alternative for raw material of concrete production or to reduce the cement content in concrete. Thus, reducing the cement content by approximately 5%, 10% or 15% and adding some other material which is naturally available in market with lesser cost than cement, will not only be economical but also be as strong as ordinary concrete. There are various products or materials which can be used in concrete for reducing cement content. Hence, we are using an agricultural product obtained from sugarcane called as Bagasse Ash. Agricultural industry is largest industry in India. Under agriculture due to high sugar production there is large amount of bagasse available and ash of this bagasse contains high silica amount which can be used in concrete for partial replacement of cement. We can use this material in construction industry which will add new material for construction and new method of its disposal which is environmentally friendly
