The floating column is generally used in high rise buildings which require parking space at the bottom. The objective of current research is to investigate the seismic behavior of floating column structure using Staad Pro software. The CAD modeling and FEA simulation is conducted in Staad Pro simulation package. The FEA is a viable tool in evaluating the structural characteristics of structure under dead load and seismic loading conditions. From the FEA analysis conducted on the structure, the critical regions of high deformation are obtained using Staad pro simulation software. The results have shown that corner point of structure has maximum deformation
