The paper differentiate between the concept of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) and the concept of Conventional Steel Building (CSB). PEB concept is a new concept for single-story industrial buildings. This method can be used in many different ways due to its lightweight and economical construction. This concept acquire many convenience over the common steel structure (CSB) concept of every roof truss. In steel structures, the PEB system is the latest technology to provide economical, environmentally friendly and sustainable structures. These structures were analyzed and designed using STAAD pro v8i to compare PEB and conventional steel trusses. PEB design is based on US code AISC 360:10 and CSB design is based on Indian code IS800:2007. The loads considered in the analysis are dead loads, traffic loads and wind loads in addition to various combinations according to IS800:2007 and AISC. Dead weight per IS: 875 (Part 1)-1987. Payload is obtained based on IS: 875(Part-2)-1987. Wind loads per IS: 875 (Part 3)-2015.
