Climate Change and Sustainability: A case study of western Himalayas Himalayas are the prominent mountains situated in temperate climatic conditions. This is a wide spread region connecting and knouting the various mountains ranges. Pamir knout is the major and important location of western Himalaya and is known as the store house of water resources in form of glaciers. These areas receive plenty of precipitation in formation season. Himalayas has different chapter to describe the effects of climate change. Topographical impacts multiple the global warming impact in the form of curse and benedictions. Lower slopes experience the rise in temperature and many horticultural crops facing challenge of extinction due little snow inadequate chilling hours. Crop failure, emergence of new vector diseases other grooming problems has affected overall ago-economy of the farmer. A painful transition to new Agro-economy. This is really painful curse to the farmers and orchards for their sustainability. Same time there is a altitudinal shift of orchards toward higher reaches of the mountain slopes. Resulted as benedictions or blessing to the farmers and orchards by addition favorable condition for apple orchards. These conditions become the blessing for the local residents and orchards with boost to their economy.
