Title

Close Buy: A Location-Based Mobile Application for Easy and Efficient Product Search and Purchase

Abstract

Rapid mobile technology development has created new chances for providing useful services beyond simple communication. In order to offer personalised services based on the user's current location, location-based services (LBS) take advantage of the geographic positioning of mobile devices. In this regard, we recommend CloseBuy, an Android app that transforms the experience of product research and purchasing by taking into account not only cost and quality but also the "easy-to-buy" factor, notably by including a location filter function. The admin module, the business module (which is built as a web application), and the customer module (which is an Android application) are the three primary components that make up CloseBuy. The smartphone app interface allows users to publish reviews and do product searches. Through the web-based administration interface, administrators and commercial merchants may control the system, including account registration approval and product catalogue management. The server is in charge of the storage of the product database and backend operations. The defining characteristic of CloseBuy is its distance-based search functionality, which enables users to look for stores close to their current position as measured by GPS. An interactive map with search results directs consumers to the finest local stores. With the help of this effective navigation tool, customers can easily discover the things they want. Users also have the choice to enter keywords while doing searches, significantly streamlining the procedure. The suggested approach intends to increase customer happiness, offer personalised suggestions based on past purchases, and speed up price-based decision-making. CloseBuy overcomes the shortcomings of existing systems by integrating location-based services with user-friendly search features, providing a complete and practical solution for customers seeking an ideal purchasing experience.
