The modern world has refined itself in statistical and technological terms. High aspirations, motivation, and the insatiable desire to succeed in all spheres of life, including education, are its driving forces. Parents and students today are more concerned with their improved academic performance. The educational atmosphere and students' self-concept are two of the most crucial factors that affect academic achievement. Therefore, these two variables were taken as variables under the study. 100 (50 boys and 50 girls) secondary school students of class IX were taken as a sample. Self concept questionnaire by Saraswat (2011) and Academic Climate description questionnaire by Shah & Shah (1988) was being used. The study found no significant difference in the academic climate of school students in terms of gender. However, a substantial difference was found in the self concept of male and female of secondary school. Further, a significant correlation was found in academic climate and self concept of secondary school students.
