This study provides an overview of the pharmacovigilance system in India over the last five years. Pharmacovigilance is the science and activities related to the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problems. The study focuses on collecting and analyzing adverse drug reactions (ADRs) reported by healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders. Also PvPI collaborations with various stakeholders such as pharmaceutical companies, regulatory authorities. Over the past five years, India has witnessed a steady increase in the number of ADR reports, indicating improved awareness and reporting. The validation of the pharmacovigilance system in India over the last five years demonstrates the country's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its population through effective monitoring and surveillance of drug safety. Continued efforts in strengthening the system, expanding reporting networks, and promoting awareness will further enhance India's pharmacovigilance capabilities.
