Visual information protection uses visual cryptography as a cryptographic approach for data transfer security. Because of the encryption, decryption is a mechanical process. Several sharing images are created using the secret image. The photos that are shared are blurry or noisy, and they only produce the right image when they are combined in the right way. To ensure the secure transmission of information, this study includes multiple visual encryption and decryption methods. General Access Texture, halftone, Color, Progressive, Incremental Area, Advanced View Encryption, color-enhanced visual encryption, visual XOR and OR encryption, and visual encryption applications are covered in this visual encryption article. Applications like banking security, steganography, criminal records, intelligence communication, multilayered ID cards, and fingerprint records are covered in this article. The paper gives a summary of developments in VCS, where each technique addresses a different set of issues.
