Title

Educational Paradigm Shift: National Education Policy 2020 and Karnataka Experience

Abstract

From the research conducted using primary and secondary data, it is observed that Central Government of India has done extensive planning with numerous inclusions while implementing the National Education Policy in the year 2020, to upgrade the education system of India to meet the global standards. Karnataka being the first state in the country had the task to start everything from the scratch. All the universities, colleges, teaching fraternities, administrative offices had the responsibility to reach the expectations and impart world class, quality education to the students enrolling for various courses. The impact of the sudden announcement and the hasty implementation of the NEP 2020 by the then State Government and its repercussions over the 2 years are studied and presented in the paper.
