Abstract
Among various endocrine disorders thyroid disorders are commonly found. Thyroid disorder occur due to reduced secretion of thyroid hormones (Hypothyroidism) or increased secretion of thyroid hormones (Hyperthyroidism) . According to Aacharya Charaka presentation of single swelling on the Parshava of the neck is Galganda. According to modern science, Goitreis single large swelling occurring at neck region that occurs due to hypothyroidism. So, Galaganda can be correlated to Goitre caused due to hypothyroidism.
