The increasing role of AI in the economy and society presents both practical and conceptual challenges in not only understanding this phenomenon but to reign in the exploitation and harness it in order for it to be regulated. Many of the challenges imposed or surrounding it because of the manner it has been examined or looked at and the fact technology always outpaces the law creates distinct issue which coupled with the mythical characteristic surrounding AI requires examination. It is imperative that the challenges such as conceptual or moral responsibility attributed to it be examined and for the same it is important to look at some threads of how AI is looked at as a concept and how countries are addressing it. The present article provides a bird’s eye view of this.
