Diabetics had a knowledge value (19,960 ± 2,506), a positive attitude value (13,600 ± 4,176), and a good practice value (19,600 ± 2,506). Chi-square analysis showed no correlation at P<1. 0.05 between nutritional status and education level (P = 0.420) and nutritional status and income level, chi-square level = 6.632, P = 0.356). The correlation between knowledge and attitude was (-0.78 ± 0.590), between knowledge and practice (0.47 ± 0.747), and between attitude and practice (0.46 ± 0.752). Interpretation and conclusion: Good knowledge of diabetes, but poor practice. This study highlights the need to implement lifestyle modifications and awareness programs for diabetes management in people with diabetes.
