Title

The Strategic Imperative of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain in Public Procurement: A Policy Framework for the United States

Abstract

According to the article, adopting AI and blockchain technology in U.S. procurement can smooth the process and support and organize it. Due to not having organized information, not being able to watch all the processes, a rise in scams, and systems that don’t work together, modern systems cost more, work less efficiently, and encourage the public not to trust them. By looking at global federal and state procurement and cases involving AI, researchers conclude that the government should adopt new policies strongly supporting both AI and blockchain. AI analytics can help predict future trends, and thanks to blockchain, every transaction is permanently recorded, and all contracts work automatically. Open standards are preferred, things must work together, AI ethics are more important than regulations, quick tests are performed, and we aim to prepare for what comes next in Artificial Intelligence. Last year, costs in Estonia’s X-Road decreased by 30%, and the UK’s Crown Commercial Service saved £1.2 billion. They aim to help restore trust, reduce dishonesty, and allow everyone to shop equally.
