The transportation sector is heavily influenced by the Internet of Things, especially because Autonomous Vehicles are now being used to enhance daily services such as package distribution, traffic situations and goods transportation. Therefore, these vehicles cover options on the road, in the air and at sea which is why the term Internet of Transportation Systems (IoTS) is used. These systems receive and deal with vast amounts of sensor data and most of that data is sent to the cloud for review and investigation. AWS Cloud is used for this research to support the safe, scalable and efficient use of AV data in both real-time scenarios and non-real-time settings. In spite of how autonomous vehicles and IoT could help, these systems are too intricate and clear which results in serious security and privacy problems. To keep people and goods moving safely and securely, sensitive data in transportation must be protected from hackers. Thus, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps these systems work and make decisions on their own, improve scheduling, find unusual situations and manage new situations. This article explores how AWS Cloud-based Internet of Transportation Systems are improving the safety and management of autonomous vehicles by joining cybersecurity tactics with AI.
