Title

Meglumine as a biodegradable catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives

Abstract

A series of dihydropyrano[2,3-c]-pyrazole was efficiently synthesized via one-pot, four component reaction of aldehydes, malononitrile, ethylacetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate in the presence of catalytic amount of meglumine under EtOH-H2O (1:1) at reflux conditions. The present protocol offers the advantages of clean reaction, short reaction time, high yield, easy purification and economic availability of the catalyst.
