Title

PLANNING, ANALYSING AND DESIGNING OF A INTZE TYPE OVERHEAD TANK

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive exploration into the planning, analysis, and design processes involved in the construction of an Intze-type overhead tank. Intze tanks are a common choice for storing water in various applications due to their structural efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The research begins with a thorough examination of the project requirements and site conditions, addressing factors such as water demand, geological considerations, and environmental factors. The analysis phase involves a meticulous assessment of the structural integrity and stability of the proposed Intze tank design. Structural engineering principles, including load calculations, material properties, and safety factors, are employed to ensure that the tank can withstand the forces exerted on it during its operational life. Additionally, seismic considerations are taken into account to enhance the tank's resilience in earthquake-prone regions. The design process incorporates advanced modeling techniques and computer-aided design tools to optimize the geometric and material aspects of the Intze tank. This includes the selection of suitable materials, determination of wall thickness, and the incorporation of reinforcement mechanisms to enhance the tank's durability. The study also explores sustainability aspects, incorporating eco-friendly practices and materials wherever possible. Throughout the planning, analysis, and design phases, adherence to relevant codes and standards is paramount to ensure compliance with industry regulations and norms. The outcome of this research is a comprehensive guide that serves as a valuable resource for engineers and stakeholders involved in the construction of Intze-type overhead tanks, facilitating the creation of structures that meet safety, efficiency, and environmental standards.
