One of the leading causes of death worldwide includes the misdiagnosis and delayed treatment of cancer. The complex and insidious nature in which Cancer develops and then rapidly mitigates to other parts without subsequently showing major signs has made the possibility of early suitable treatment difficult. Cancer research has been ongoing tremendously to find better alternatives to the present therapies available. This review presented here gives an insight into the different strategies that are under investigation and experimentation to add valuable content to the anti-oncologic treatment. The invention of nanomedicine has revolutionised the medical field and has boosted the efficacy of medicines when incorporated with nanotechnologies. The article is aimed at studying the different types of novel cancer treatments in lieu of nanotechnology along with their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.
